delicate watercolours speak of the magic of nature

ABOUT LIBBY:

Libby is both an artist and writer. She uses her creativity and words as channels by which we can explore our own spirit and our relationship with the world; her creative storytelling speaks to the magic of nature, of possibility and ‘finding ground’.

Her long career in corporate communications and her knowledge of how information is shared and deciphered informs her creative inspiration and journey.

Her choice of subjects taps into childhood memory and imagination, and subtly connects back into adulthood to make us re-examine our emotions and connection to life. This asks the viewer to explore and navigate their internal worlds and find the things which have been forgotten but which they love.

Libby works primarily in watercolour but is also known to dabble in pencil, ink, acrylic, collage, printmaking, soft sculpture and mixed media.

Libby is most happy when either in the ocean or the forest, bringing people together for a meal or tending her garden.

Recent exhibitions include the Marysville Art Show 2021, Hall & Wilcox Emerging Artists Joint Exhibition 2022, Linden Postcard Show 2022.
