ABOUT CHERIE:

Yarra Valley based contemporary artist Cherie Brown is self taught.

She grew up watching her mum paint – a shared bond – a love of art has always been a big part of their lives.

Cherie is inspired by and paints from raw emotion, her paintings are not planned, they come to life organically, every mark made just being in the moment .

Using acrylics as a medium, layers of paint make for a love of texture.

Cherie particularly enjoys painting faces , especially eyes.

“I can always remember the colour of a persons eyes, it’s true they are the window to the soul”

Cherie had her first successful exhibition in 2018 in Healesville.
