exploring spirals that are perfectly designed mathematically

ABOUT MONIKA:

Monika's main art concept is 'Geodesia': exploring the geometries in nature and expressing them in an aesthetic language. The artworks portray mathematical patterns and geometric forms observed and explored in plants, and also the human anatomy. In ‘Geodesia’ the main geometries that is expressed are: the Golden Mean Ratio and the Fibonacci Sequence.

Currently Monika is exploring spirals that are perfectly designed mathematically in relation to the ratio and sequence from nature. The spirals are the artists interpretation to how nature grows, and is an illuminating perspective on how the geometries can be interpreted.

Monika has a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the VCA and a Masters in Public Art from RMIT and has been working professionally as an artist since completing her studies. Monika has exhibited in various group exhibits and solos, and has curated community shows.

Monika lives and works in the Yarra Ranges at her successful business MAPart where she taught visual arts to the Yarra Ranges community before Covid. Now Monika is refocusing on mentoring youth students with their art folios and reaching their study and career goals.
