ABOUT ERNST :
Ernst Fries sculptures, created in stainless steel and often seamlessly incorporating materials such as glass, granite, wood or concrete, reflect his thoughts on the natural and built environment and on world events. Ernst's sculptures are clean and contemporary, leaving room for the viewer to contribute their idea to his.
During his career spanning six decades Ernst was passionate about the importance of pulic art. He completed many commisions and public sculptures in Australia and Europe and his work can be found in many national and international collections. Ernst passed away in March 2020 leaving behind a legacy of thought provoking and beautifully constructed sculptures.
