ABOUT JENA:

My passion is to create beautiful and meaningful Sculptural pieces that “speak” to all those looking to purchase unique hand crafted work. Art with Soul.

For many years Jena made pots on the wheel with the emphasis on vessels used for eating and drinking, it therefore came as a surprise to her when she discovered that she derived as much pleasure creating work through hand building and sculpting. Using these techniques she has gained insight into her practice and the reason she feels so passionate about creating with clay. It has been a truly therapeutic process for Jena with part of the emphasis on finding her centre ......discovering body and heart through the clay body in what she has come to understand as her own transformational journey.
For Jena this form of personal and spiritual growth has brought to light many insights and new approaches to her work.

Jena works & teaches from her home in Warburton. There is a beautiful light filled studio set in over 1/2 an acre of established gardens with views of Mt Victoria and Mt Donna Buang, this is where Jena an accomplished potter and Art Therapist weaves her magic.

Jena says...."My journey over the last 35 yrs has been about finding balance through this creative process. By sharing my experience and knowledge of working with clay I hope to pass on the joys and wonders of living a creative life.

Jena is a regular participant of Yarra Valley Open Studios.
