The WOMAN exhibition sought contributions from all its member artists who identify as women.

Aligning with International Women’s Day 2023, this exhibition highlights the multi-faceted experiences of being a woman in todays world. Artists have expressed their experiences through their artwork, exploring different aspects of their lives - drawing on such diverse influences as humour, sadness, anger, joy, work or play.

The artwork in the exhibit views this experience through both a historical and contemporary lens. Having two diverse venues for this show, we anticipate that the work will resonate profoundly with all walks of life.

FREE ACTIVITY FOR INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS

This project, ‘Celebrating women and women’s work' focuses on aspects of art and craft that have often been considered woman’s work. All can participate in this community art project using recycled fabrics and materials.

Circle rugs, made of single colours, will be made and sent to Western Australia to be part of the large community art project Reclaim the Void.

Make banners and flags which will be used in and around YAVA and during local events. These flags will contribute the vibrancy of our local community.
